CHASSIS - TOOLS - RE JACK.

Mr. Witfield, a representative of Messrs. Lake & Elliott, came along today to submit a sample jack, as a result of an enquiry by EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s Dept. in which the Expl: Dept: were also interested.

I got in touch with EH, and a result of the interview was, that the jack brought along, namely, a 6½" type was shewn to be much too small. It is therefore suggested that we should obtain an 8½" Jack, and Mr. Witfield promised that he would arrange as soon as possible to fix up a jack to cover this requirement, which would be of the double lift type and send same along in the near future.

As soon as this question is settled by us receiving a sample, we shall require at least three of the jacks referred to for Shop use, one for EH, and two for EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
