Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}1/MH.{M. Huckerby} OUR REF. CWW/GC. 8th March, 1940. For the attention of Mr. Robotham. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, We acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 7th inst., together with the copy of your letter of the 16th ultimo, and as assumed the original must have been lost in transit. As requested we have much pleasure in sending herewith the two front door bottom hinges required, and we trust they will arrive quite safely. We note that it is your intention to remove the body from 1-B-50, and to scrap the chassis. In reply to the penultimate paragraph of your letter, we would mention that frankly, we do not consider there is any likelihood of a sale for this body second-hand, firstly, in view of the prevailing circumstances, and secondly, by reason of the fact that it was constructed for a special chassis. We are glad to note that you are furnishing us with an official order to cover the three hinges now supplied, and we look forward to receiving this in due course. Yours faithfully, For PARK, WARD & CO LTD., Works Director. Encs. Handwritten: Noted File Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ED{J. L. Edwards} | ||
