18-G4.

It has been arranged that FN. shall take over 18-G4. car in Paris on Thursday December the 10th.

We expect by that time you will have completed 10,000 miles, and FN. will take the car for a week or ten days. He will then return to England and the final mileage will be run off in England by Sales officials or EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, and Mr.

There is one job which this car has got to do, that is, we expect to send over on the Wednesday morning boat a hamper of jams and food-stuffs which is to be transported to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence. The arrangement we wish you to carry out is to arrange for 18-G4. car to meet the boat on Wednesday December 9th. (We will let you know later the exact time) and that one of your testers will then take the car back to Paris with the hamper fixed at the rear and meet FN. in Paris. FN. has agreed to deliver this hamper at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.

In case there are any points on the car which demand any further running in France, we may arrange for FN. to leave the car in Paris and for you to go back after Christmas and continue the test. We have in mind, for instance, that we may wish to alter the exhaust system and the gearbox.

We would like you however to write to FN. direct c/o Rolls-Royce, Avenue George V.{VIENNA} Paris Vlll, Paris, and let him know that you can carry out the programme which we have outlined above.
