While at N. on Tuesday last, Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} asked us to take an interest in the following complaints :-

(1) Wear of clutch fabrics on 20/25.

N. say that since the more effective oil seal for the rear crankshaft bearing they get very few complaints of slipping. However, since the weight of the car has greatly increased (now often 42 cwts.) they frequently get clutches worn out in about 8,000 miles. This applies to cars doing most of their mileage in London. A clutch with fabric on the driven member is the obvious cure.

(2) 20/25 cylinder blocks need re-boring after 40,000 miles when they are worn about .008", and the customer complains of excessive oil consumption. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} asks whether the 20/25 cars have the side drilling of the con. rod as in the Bentley.

(3) Customers do not like paying £30 for a new silencer after 3 years' motoring.
