We send you herewith as requested:- LeC.4930 showing the Bentley type front box fitted to the 25-30 engine. To maintain the ground clearance and to give a clearance between the box and the engine side guard it is necessary to modify the shape as shown. The downtake pipe from the manifold is shortened and also the intermediate pipe is altered slightly to suit the new centre. The triangular stays between the sump of course are longer because they have to reach out further due to this box being oval in form. Wym{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} Should like to see this scheme O.K. [Signature] Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} LeC.4930 herewith. | ||
