Engine overheating issue causing compression loss and a standstill, with suggestions for remedy.

of ignition and mixture control 3 notches weak. I asked him to climb in future with mixture normal and full ignition so far as possible. There is a distinct piston knock on this car which I thought they would report, but nothing was said about it. I suggested to either to have alternative louvers taken out on it or have side of Engine guards. and that the Engineers in England were working on their problem. They said that old cars could take the same road without boiling, but this boiled to such a degree that compression was lost and the car came to a standstill. This was also told me by Mr Reverdin in Geneva having experienced the same trouble.
