MYTH 1030 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}2/ET. 21st September 1940. 704 T.R. Lloyd, Esq., Messrs. E.D. Abbott Ltd., FARNHAM, Surrey. My dear Trevor, This is not an answer to your letter, which I hope to deal with properly during the week end, but I want your reactions on the following subject: Supposing we were to build a small car, say 10 H.P. It would have the characteristics of a Rolls-Royce regarding durability, reliability, etc., but would be at a reasonable figure. Should it be 2-door or 4-door? My feeling is that the 2-door is only sold to the man who can only just afford a car, or possibly, as in our case, where you can put children in the back and they cannot let themselves out. The only possible 2-door, to my mind, is one which has sufficiently large doors to enable the rear passengers to get out without disturbing the two front occupants. Your views from a sales point would be most useful. Please remember me to ED.{J. L. Edwards} and JH. Yours ever, | ||
