Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd.,

W. 1.

Dear Mr. Jackson:-

LAMPS FOR BENTLEY CHASSIS.

With reference to my letter of the 5th instant and our telephone conversation of yesterday morning, as you anticipated, Mr. Pacy telephoned about mid-day and gave an undertaking to complete the first fifteen pairs of the new pattern X166 head-lamps by the middle of this month.

He told me that six pairs were ready but was unaware of what had happened to them. He suggested they might have been despatched to Derby, but promised to consult Birmingham to-day and to telephone the information to you this afternoon so that you in turn might pass it on to me.

Will you please note that I have this morning heard from our Works at Derby that they arranged for the first six pairs of headlamps to be despatched to them, and will you take this letter as a formal request for the remaining nine pairs to also go direct to Derby immediately they are ready.

Perhaps you will let Mr. Pacy have this information when he telephones you this afternoon.

Yours truly,
