According to a memo. we have received from France (GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}3/JAB.17.10.36) they have had trouble with the 4 1/2" retaining studs on the front damper plate rubbing on the wheelcase. This has developed with running and is still very close even though the tips of the studs protuding through the nuts have been filed down flush with the latter. Will you please look into the possibility of giving a safer margin of clearance at this point. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/L.H.Swindall. | ||
