Dear Sirs, re Order No. 84942 In connection with the above, and further to our letter of the 12th inst., we wish to advise that with regard to the 11.A3 clutch, which you require exactly as to our Drawing SK.30600/2 but with Driven Plate having Spring type flexible centre incorporated, we find that when this type of driven plate is utilised driven plate slinger will foul flywheel fixing bolts. We would confirm telephone conversation of this morning when we queried with Mr. Robotham, in your absence, as to whether flywheel for 11" application would be identical to the 10", namely as to Drawing SK.30604. There appears to be some uncertainty in this regard, and we should appreciate your confirmation. Should flywheels and flywheel fixing bolts be exactly the same for the 11" as for the 10" application, i.e. countersunk, then there will be no foul with slinger, but should flywheel fixing bolts be exactly as shown on Drawing 30600 as previously advised there would be a foul, and it would be necessary to omit the driven plate slinger which we believe would have no detrimental effect. Accordingly we would ask you to telephone us in this connection tomorrow morning so that specifications may be finally determined. To enable you to give a quick check in this regard we enclose herewith further prints of the drawings mentioned above.
