γ.407. To By/NS.{Norman Scott} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. By/CS. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}6.7.39. B.V. TIMING DIAGRAM. Further to your enquiry regarding the flywheel timing markings for production B.V. we recommend the following as being the most satisfactory - Inlet Opens 3° Past TDC. Inlet Closes 48° Past BDC. Exhaust Opens 40° Before BDC. Exhaust Closes 3° Past TDC. Above with .030 tappet clearance. The original diagram for the above camshaft EB.3466 is shown on EB.3241. Regarding the ignition marking, this should be "IGN" at TDC. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
