Dear Sirs,
With reference to the visit of Mr. Leslie to our works today, we beg to quote you as follows:-
Please receive herewith the following scheme :- 1 pair of Sidemembers F.B.3622/3, but 9" longer [Strikethrough text]
F.CD.658 Modification to Main Lever Housing to simplify machining (material to waste)
1 pair of Gussets No. F.B.3624/5. [Strikethrough text]
The above scheme shows the fulcrum pin boss bored out 2.156 +20 and reamed both ends 2.1875 diameter. This deletes the eccentric machining of the boss to clear the main lever. To provide clearance for the main lever in bump and rebound positions we propose a milling cutter to clear away surplus metal as shewn.
This modification is urgently needed to assist production, and should be tested as soon as possible.
The whole of the above to be supplied in 1/16" thick material. [Strikethrough text]

If Frame Stiffener Rear Boxing is required, this will be charged extra; also if there are any additional parts to be fitted to the Frame, we shall have to revise the Assembly charge.
As informed Mr. Leslie, we have the necessary material in stock, but in the case of the Sidemembers it will be necessary for us to cut the stock material considerably to waste, and we have included this in the above figure.
