Please receive herewith the following scheme :- F.CD.645 Front Anchorage Rear Spring. In accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.3/AP.8.4.38. we have designed a threaded pin anchorage for the rear spring. The thread diameter of the pin is the same as used on Ph.lll rear shackles - see F.CD.546. It will be necessary to modify the forgings to provide room for the "Dupreme" glands.
