4294 Es18/E22.11.34. -1- Notes of Meeting held at Derby - 21st November 1934. PRESENT: Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} C H A S S I S SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. The question of the necessity for secrecy was referred to and a recommendation was made that we should lease a garage at Shardlow (about 4 miles from the Works) where SpectreCodename for Phantom IIIs can be worked on. The rent is only about £40 a year but we shall have to fit up it up with one or two machines and the total cost should not exceed £400 or £500. It was decided that we should do this. The experimental chassis position and bodies was reviewed as per E4/BP.20.11.34. It was decided that bodies for Nos.3 and 4 should be ordered from Park Ward, that one should be a close-coupled Continental Saloon with the chassis 6" shorter than standard and the other the owner-driver type of body with de ville front as per No.6 of C's recent memo. W. will get out the drawings as quickly as possible and will let us know when they would like Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} to come up to Derby to approve them on our behalf and arrange for the placing of the order with Park Wards. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} will go into the matter with C. relative to who | ||
