Re destructive tests on Valve Springs.

Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.

You will remember that about 3 months ago Mr Wormald requested you to design some rig which would enable us to make a rapid destruction test of Valve Springs for the purpose of testing those used on production.

Mr Johnson has written us enquiring whether this is completed. I have enquired from Mr Fairhurst and he knows nothing about the job.

I shall be glad if you will let me know as early as possible what has been done in the matter so that we may inform Mr Johnson.

[Handwritten reply]
I cannot recall being advised re above test. Some time ago I instructed some cone pulleys to be made for running these springs at different speeds. There is already a rig in the Exptl. Shp. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 11-12-13.
