Re Rapid Testing of Valve Springs. X.290.

Na.{Mr Nadin} 17-12-13.

Mr Johnson instructed some time
ago that samples of every batch of valve
springs be tested to destruction, and in
consequence Mr Wormald wrote you 9/4/13
requesting you to instruct the D.O. to consider
designs of a rig that would enable us to
rapidly carry out the above tests.

Mr Wormald replied to Mr Johnson
stating what he had done, and Mr Johnson
now writes to know whether the new rig is
completed but we have not yet received this.
Mr Moon from Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence writes that he
cannot recall being advised about it.

Mr Wormald would like to know
what is being done in the matter. His
original memo was WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}24/T4913.
