Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/13/N. Secret & Confidential. Messrs. Park Ward & Co. Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. For the attention of Mr Finney. Dear Sir, Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley 2.B.5. We are now able to send you the detail drawing of the Instrument Board for 2.B.5. but we have already sent you a scheme drawing shewing the general arrangement of the proposal. The instruments are not interior lighted, therefore, you have to provide two lamps in the scuttle rail, one immediately opposite the main patch of instruments, and one opposite the rev. counter and switchbox. We would call your attention to the fact that we provide a set of five switches, of which only two have been used, as we have no electrically operated rear blind, and no division window, therefore, we suggest that you use these switches for any other purpose that may be desirable, such as body lighting, reverse lamp etc. and if you will tell us for what purpose they are intended in your estimation, we will see that they are suitably engraved. This car will be equipped with a heater and radio, and the switches and control head for these should be placed in the cubby hole as indicated. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
