Re- Phantom III Petrol Consumption
-------------------------------

We are much obliged to you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/
KW.6.4.36 from which we note that you anticipate that the PH.III
will do between 8 and 9 m.p.g. when driven at average speeds of
40 miles per hour and over under English conditions. We note however
that the consumption may be less under the conditions you mention
on the Continent unless a higher axle ratio is fitted for these
conditions.
