Dal/CE271017. Contd. X.800 We afterwards syringed water on to the distributor several times. This checked the engine speed each time, but it immediately afterwards picked up again. But no effect was produced by syringing water on the coil. Finally the engine was stopped by water entering the holes where the H.T. wires enter the distributors and wetting the distributor gear.
