| RR 238 (150 BKS.) (OB 461-B 12-24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.7.C. Order No. WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}9. Customer's No. X8710 Tests with P.W.F coil on 9EX. We have now conducted a road test on 9EX expl car using a paraffin waxed paper coil No P.W.P. 3. We found this coil to be OK at all speeds with the exception of very slow running on top gear when the B.I misfired at speeds below 5 mph although only occasionally. On magneto ignition the engine fired regularly at 4 mph a very creditable performance fully retarded. The coil was quite OK on the pick up. Signed contd.
