1021 28th May, 1941. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.Y3/RH.{R. Hollingworth} Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM.1. Attention Mr. Spicer. Dear Mr. Spicer, We have now received the prints of the striking plate, window regulator positions and spare wheel locker lock. Striking Plate. This is O.K. Rear Door Window Regulator. In the position shown on your print, the handle would foul the arm rest. We have marked up the proposed position which we think would be satisfactory and we are returning the print herewith. With the regulator in the new position, we find that it is not possible to have the inside door handle in the position which we decided on when you were last here. The most satisfactory position we think will be in the centre of the door, which means a remote control. Front Door Layout. On setting this out, here again we find that the inside door handle in the downward position would be in the way of the regulator handle, so that it will be necessary to have it in the upright position. In this position, it will be necessary for the handle centre to be not less than 1 1/2" fromt the front edge of the door and would be much better if this could be increased to 2" or 2 1/4", and as I know the construction of the lock controls this, perhaps you will look into the matter and let me know. Inside Door Handles. With the handles in the vertical position, it means that they will overhang the polished fillets which are 1/2" -Over- | ||
