PHANTOM II STARTER MOTOR.

As previously suggested in other memos an improvement in the performance of the above starter motor is long overdue.

We have recently been carrying out a number of experiments on this motor with modified field and armature windings with fairly satisfactory results but in order to increase the stalling torque as well as the max. B.H.P. and efficiency we should like to try a 33 slot armature, along with a modified field winding which we have made up experimentally in order to increase the armature end pull on the teazer with a reduction in rotational movement.

We should be glad therefore if you will arrange for an experimental armature to be designed and instructed as soon as convenient having 33 slots using D.73707 copper bar for winding.
