CHASSIS B.80.EF - Col. LINDEMANN - Upon examination of the fan of this car on the 20.II.35, we discovered that the EB.I644 fan hub was cracked. The car had then covered a mileage of 3000 Kms. We fitted a new hub and rebalanced the fan. The failure occurred near the housing for the Ho.IIO Hoffman ball bearing. We think the trouble was due to the bearing being too tight in the housing, which caused the metal to split.

We trust that you will find the above quite clear.
