I hope you will keep us informed how you get on, as we are anxious, as you know, that you should have satisfaction from your car in every way.

I am,

Yours very truly,
For ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED.

Your letter of the 25th May, having been passed on to us to be answered.
I regret that I am in the unfortunate position of not having my letter promised last time I wrote. Last winter your... (illegible) ...received your letter. We have had the object... (illegible) ...and subject it to a very... (illegible) ... and also about which there can be no doubt, but unfortunately...

Provided the matter is well lit by using a magnifying glass to examine it, but it is true that we have had several push rods made from the same casting and the only... (illegible) ...is particularly effective.

Your case will however impress upon us that when we have parts made of any special material, it is not always quite as good as the original we tested. We have therefore ordered from the makers some spare parts which we will have examined ourselves and keep these by us so that when we get another case of this kind, we can send you a shaft before you have taken down your own engine, and we shall be glad if you would send back to us the broken pieces in view of the failure of the original engine.

We are wondering how this is, and if you have had the position noted before you give the matter our attention and claim an allowance on the parts and labour I think we should be able to do this.
