300b Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}14/JH. 8th January, 1937. Messrs. Barker & Co.Ltd., Olaf Street, LONDON. For the attention of Mr. Munro. Dear Sirs, We despatched today per lorry the Phantom III dummy chassis for the all steel experimental Body. You will notice that we have omitted 2 body brackets per side on the chassis for trial, but if you think this will have any detrimental effect on your body mounting please let us know and they can easily be refitted. We should like you to mount the body solid with the scuttle on this car as on the sedanca type of body, the solid alum. pieces and bolts were sent down with the chassis. Messrs. Lucas have been making enquiries as to whether we have received the drawing of the windscreen wipers, giving the required dimensions. We shall be pleased to hear from you regarding this matter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
