Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Received 10 JUN 1926 Dear Sir, Being most anxious to be placed upon your list of manufacturers of approved oils for the lubrication of Rolls Royce Cars, we have from time to time approached your company with a view to submitting free testing samples for trial but regret that up to the present our efforts have not met with success. The failure to do so, we understand, has been due to your Experimental Department being too fully occupied to either test our oil at the time or to promise to do so at a later date. An advertisement of one of our competitors that has appeared throughout the press during the last day or two has come to the notice of our Directors, several of whom, including our Managing Director, are users of your cars and we have been asked to again approach you in the hope that you will now afford us the same facilities as granted to our competitors. Our STERNOL WW OIL is an all British product and is subjected to a special treatment which renders it the most perfect lubricant for high class cars that is being turned out. We solicit the favour of your kind reply and thank you in anticipation. Yours faithfully, FOR & ON BEHALF OF STERNS LIMITED. HFW Thompson DIRECTOR. | ||
