Dear Sirs,

Regarding recent correspondence on the question of your testing Houdaille Hydraulic Suspensions, you will recollect that you took up the point that Houdailles would not allow for your maximum spring travel but that we could not agree with you on this and could only assume you were reporting on tests made with pre-War Houdailles with short lever arms.

Quite recently, and without any seeking on our part, we received instructions to fit a pair of Houdaille Hydraulic Suspensions to the rear of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales's new Rolls Royce. So delighted was H.R.H. with these and so marked the difference which they made in the running of the car that last week on his further instructions we fitted Houdaille Hydraulic Suspensions to the front of
