4th June, 1936.

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
Derby.

For the Attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West.

Dear Mr. West,

Further to my letter of the 29th ultimo I have now received your letter of the same date, covering copy of your report to the Air Ministry, for which please accept my best thanks.

In connection with the complete set of screened plugs with which you are now proceeding for further test, you will recollect that I raised with you as to whether the particular screening you desire is covered by a patent, the rights of which are held by one of our competitors. Have you any knowledge as to the number of the British patent, and, if so, could you advise me of it, as we must naturally have regard to the possibility of infringement?

Assuring you of our co-operation,

I remain,

Yours faithfully,

N. F.{Mr Friese} STOCKBRIDGE,
Managing Director.
