4865 PN{Mr Northey}15/DN/2.7.24. TO Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. FROM PN.{Mr Northey} 20 HP CARS WITH SEMI-BALLOON DUNLOP TYRES. We are trying a set of these tyres on R's Beatonson 20 HP and we find them very comfortable of course, a bit heavier for steering when running slow, but undoubtedly very noisy. What do you understand to be the position with regard to our being willing to sell these tyres to people on demand ? Are we justified in doing so with the present clearances, or must we wait until any modified clearances come along ? If the latter, how soon will this be ? I did not notice when driving this car, any difficulties at any time with regard to clearances, although undoubtedly they must be less than standard. I am taking up the matter with the Dunlop Company of the amount of noise made by the treads. PN{Mr Northey} | ||
