Please receive herewith blueprint of - E.55531 Nozzle (Rear Exhaust Pipe) which replaces E.54875. Will you please instruct three sets of the above, together with three sets of the following:- E.55225 Swan Neck 1 off. E.55227 Clip. 1 " E.53163 Stiffening Tube. 1 " E.18614 Stiffening Tube. 2 " E.18588 Stiffening Piece. 3 " It will be noted that we have increased the width of the nozzle in proportion to the increase in the cylinder bore, in accordance with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} request, the object of which is to eliminate the whistling at exhaust nozzle, now prevalent with the larger bore engine. We have instructed the nozzle, stiffening tubes etc., in ordinary steel instead of staybrite, in order to expedite experiment. BY/CB. | ||
