20/25 Torque Reaction Dampers.

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}22/KW.14.3.35 and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}8/KW.15.3.35, you will remember that it was agreed in Conference some time ago that the above seemed to be a desirable feature, i.e. to damp out the uneven torque when the engine is idling.

I noticed this very definitely when recently I was on one of our new Trials cars.

I understand that a similar arrangement is on the Phantom with the rubber engine mounting.

The scheme does not appear to be something that wants 10,000 miles' testing as it is something which we have really done before.

Would you please look into it from the point of view of (1) what further testing is considered necessary, (2) how soon we can get it on production and (3) how soon we can have some sets put on our Trials cars
