RE: EVERSURE HYDRAULIC JACK.

[STAMP: RECEIVED 29 APR 1931]

With reference to BY/Mtn6/N20.4.31. and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}4/19.3.31. will you please advise us whether the above jack which has -

1. A minimum height of 6.625"
2. An initial hand extension of 2.625"
3. An hydraulic lift in all of 6.18"
4. A total extended height of 15.4375"

is definitely a jack that cannot be used under a Phantom II car either on account of its minimum height being too great, or its maximum height being too small.

We have duly noted that the particulars are different from the present Dunlop jack, which has admittedly been such a failure and the cause of so many complaints, but this does not mean that the Eversure jack can not be used.

We have noted the oil leaks which possibly can be improved, but we require the above information because after a great deal of search, this jack was found, and its height measurement and lift were demonstrated to the administration as satisfactory under garage conditions at least.

It was this satisfactory demonstration that led us to ask for your report upon it.
