X.516. - RE DYNAMO BELT NOISES. X.3014. X.493. As you are aware, the Test Dept. are having considerable trouble with noises caused by the Whittle belt. For experiment, we made up a belt with half links, which are supplied by the Ehittle belt people for adjusting the length of the belt. We found that the belt made up of entirely half links was a very grear improvement. We suggest that you get in touch with the people who supply us with belts and aks them to send someone over here so that we can demonstrate to them the differences and also that they can let us know what possibilities there are of supplying us with such belts.
