ORIGINAL METHOD OF TESTING SUBFRAME CLEARANCES. (1) Load the car normal number of passengers as for spring loading instructions. (2) Bounce car up and down until buffers touch axle, front wheels straight. (3) Lock over full lock and sway car until rear buffers are approximately 1" from axle. This will prove out rear subframe clearance to brake drums and brake drum covers, and also prove out front tyres to wings, wing mud-trap lips and wing stays. The above to be done on either lock. | ||
