X5940 W/P. To Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/KT.27.5.33. Hancock has smashed his front axle at Chateauroux, we are therefore sending him a complete axle and front spring by W.Bell one of our men. He will come over by the Newhaven-Dieppe service arriving in Paris 5.23 am Tuesday morning. We shall book the parts straight through to Paris and shall clear them on a temporary importation from Newhaven. In order to cover duty, Bell can bring the old parts back with him. We should be very much obliged if your man could either six meet the train and clear the parts; if he does not meet the train we shall ask Bell to go to Avenue George V.{VIENNA} and return with your man to the customs. When the customs have finished with the job, will you please advise Bell as to the quickest way of getting himself and the parts down to Chateauroux.
