800b. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRO. c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rml/R.15.2.39. 3.B.50. Our original proposal was to get this car out to France as soon as we could after it came back from the Coachbuilder. In view of the decision that we shall not want B.V. cars for production until the end of the year, it has now been agreed by Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that we can include hydraulic front brakes and the B.60 cast iron engine in the specification for this chassis when it first goes to France. Since both hydraulic brakes and engine units are available, we are sending you a revised specification of the car, and should be glad if you would get the pieces prepared. Will Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} please note that we shall require a spring drive on the crankshaft and a flexible flywheel. We should also like to send a large diameter crankshaft fitted with Vandervell bearings. With a view to obtaining information on cylinder bore wear, we should like the cylinder block to have short liners. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
