Re: Bentley 'Corniche' - 14.B.5.

We understand the chassis 14.B.5. will be ready for despatch to Paris on February 20th. or soon after.

We have asked Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/JD{J. Draper - Frames} to check over the parts of the chassis which are vital to the coachbuilder to make sure that there may be no slight errors, as this is to some extent a dummy chassis.

We have also promised to give Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} a list of accessories which should be sent to France with the chassis, so that the whole of the English material may be dealt with in one effort, as far as the customs are concerned.

(1) Headlamps.

BY/RD. will obtain two 9½" - 240 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} headlamps with dipping reflectors. M.Paulin will use the interior of these, making his own glasses and bezels. It was agreed that for England the lamps should be wired for dip and switch, but for Continental touring, they should be coupled up for double vertical dip.

(2) Centre Lamps.

BY/RD. will obtain a 7¼" centre lamp - 185 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} of fixed beam, of which M.Paulin will use the interior.

(3) Side Lamps.

We shall supply XXXXXXXX. Cornercroft side lamps in order that M.Paulin may use the interior so that the bulbs will be all of English standard pattern.

Cont'd.....
