Mr. Shelton from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Mr. Booth. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X.1027 CHASSIS - REAR SHOCK ABSORBER, SECTION 7150 - also THERMOSTAT CONTROLS, SECTION 7190 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, informs me that there is no standard spanner in the kit large enough to deal with the fixing of the Shock absorber lever. He recommends when this spanner is got out we should anticipate the fact that on the Thermostat control in "E" Dept, the Union nut will be called for which will also require a special spanner - the two could be combined in one. Would Mr. Booth kindly get particulars of the nut referred in "E" Dept, and get out a spanner based upon some of the Hexagon spanners I arranged for during the War and submit design to me. BY.{R.W.
