Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} (crossed out) R.F.C. X1027 BY2/P9.6.20 [STAMP] EFC 6 RECEIVED 11 JUN 1920 CHASSIS - RE FINISH OF TOOL KIT SPANNERS. Referring to the set of sheradised tools I obtained and sent down to the Expl: Dept: for them to use same and report upon their condition later, can you tell me whether the sheradising appears to be really permanent and a good method of preventing rusting, as if so I would like to recommend its adoption, as it is much better than the rather messy down finish produced by the Sulphiting process we have at present in use.
