Dear Sirs,
We thank you for yours of the 12th ult., and we much regret delay in replying, but to be quite frank, when we machined up one of the Drums we discovered a flaw and we had to start all over again.
However, we have the whole job complete now, and both axles will be returned to you per road on Monday March 4th.
With regard to the various weights which you asked for we attach a list which gives these.
With regard to your latter paragraph in which you state that we now have a brake in which adjustment is at the cam ends instead of the fulcrum. We are afraid that your informant is wrong, as we know of no such brake and have no intention of coming out with one.
We feel sure that when you have tested GIRLING BRAKES on your own car, these two criticisms of our Brakes will vanish.
We sincerely trust you will let us have your car back with the axles fitted as quickly as possible and you can rest assured we will push ahead with the job and will not keep it any longer than seven days at the outside.
With many thanks.
Yours faithfully,
for NEW HUDSON LTD.,
