X4456 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KW. 12th February, 1935. Messrs. New-Hudson Ltd., Icknield Street, Birmingham 18. For the attention of Mr. Fraser. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 8th inst., and note you are returning the axles to us. We should like to know the weights of the various components of your layout, such as linkage, shoes, drums etc. Can you let us have these ? We have heard that you now have a brake in which the adjustment is at the cam instead of the fulcrum, and further that the cam is no longer floating. Will you let us know if this is so, because it removes our two criticisms of the Girling brake. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
