contd :- -4- are inferior to the 20 HP. for riding comfort. This is borne out by the complaints from customers. Complaints about the 20 HP. are almost non-existent. SUSPENSION, SHACKLES AND SPRINGS SEATS. With reference to CY2/E4526, relating to the apparent increase in spring rating on negative camber due to shackles and wider spring pads. We have carefully measured the maximum spring movement recorded over our test stretch of road which reproduces the present spring complaints, and find it to be 1.100" or say .5" each side of the normal load position. We cannot believe that the increase in rating at .25" from the normal load position due to spring pads and shackles can be of sufficient magnitude to be appreciable. This will be the effective mean increase experienced when testing for riding comfort. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham. | ||
