10,000 MILE TEST CHASSIS 1 J.3.

We give below a specification of the various experimental features with which this chassis is to be fitted for the 10,000 mile test.

(1) Starter Motor.
This should be removed from the chassis over-hauled and a new field winding fitted consisting of a main field section .210" X .090" and teazer 20 SWG. 33 turns as previously instructed by D.O. see By/RD.1/W.7.3.32.

(2) Starter Motor Main Switch and Push Button.
These should be to D.100208 and D.100250 respectively.

(3) Dynamo
This should be the new dynamo to D.sch.546, to work with a voltage regulator.

(4) Voltage Regulator unit.
This should be a C.A.V. B2 regulator mounted with resistance unit as shown on Expl. drawing XL29 and as similarly fitted to 19-EX and 3 Per. II.
As the arrangement of this unit has not been finally agreed upon it will be still necessary to proceed with this temporary scheme in order to test out the regulator.

(5) Switch box.
This should be modified to D.100349.
