FH/NK. General Manager: T. C. SKINNER. 19th November 1935. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Bowering. We regret the delay in sending our report on the batch of twelve pumps which were seen by you when you were here on the 5th November last. We hereunder now give details of our reports. In some cases this we admit is very meagre, but it may assist us both in arriving at some system whereby when pumps are returned here, we are informed of what the fault actually is. Pump No. 1. Chassis B 89 DK. Complaint on label "Leaking". On examination we find that there was fitted to the centre portion (sent as a complete pump last March) one new cast iron end (with coil etc). and one old end. This end we could identify as being over two years old. This may mean that there is in service another pump with one new end and one old end. 2. Chassis B 158 AH. Complaint on label "Near side pump sticking". This was manufactured before December 1934. -1- | ||
