Test of Special Petrol Filter - Contd. | R.P.M. | Delivery Through Special Filter. (Air leak) | Delivery Through Std. Filter. | |---|---|---| | | Main | Reserve. | | | 800 | 22.0pts/hr. | 42.3pts/hr. | 51.0 pts/hr. | | 1000 | 45.0 " " | 57.2 " " | 69.5 " " | | 1500 | 54.5 " " | 65.0 " " | 74.0 " " | | 2000 | 58.5 " " | 67.5 " " | 78.5 " " | It will be observed that the fall in delivery is quite sufficient to cause a shortage of petrol supply on the road. We suggest that a test should be instituted on production to check the manufacture of these filters and guard against a recurrence of the trouble. Also that a note should be made on the drawing and that Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} should issue a data sheet warning Depots to investigate at this point in case of trouble.
