PETROL FILTERS AND SHORTAGE ON THE ROAD. We have tested the filter that you handed to us. We find that the leak at the soldered joint 'A' is just over 2 gal/hour measured under a 6 ft. head of petrol, and the leak at 'B' 1/3 gal/hour measured under the same conditions. In order to determine the effect of a leak of this magnitude on the actual autovac delivery under working conditions we carried out a test on the bed with the engine drawing petrol into the autovac. The results are as follows:- Test of Special Petrol Filter. Filters tested in conjuction with a standard petrol supply system, fitted on No.5 test bed: | ||
