Messrs George Angus & Co.Ltd.,
St.Anthony's Works,
NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE.

For the attention of Mr.L.J.Ray.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of 13th inst., and your proposal for attaching the Durangus gear to the hub.

This construction is quite suitable for us and we should be glad to test your material during the course of our experiments.

We would suggest that you should send us two blanks for which we will supply the centre and do all machining. We wish to point out that wear tests take a long time to carry out if the information gained is to be reliable so that it will probably be several months before we can give you the results.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
