Re. failure of ignition coil on 10000 mile test car 22EX in France.

The coil in question NORN45 has now been received in the lab.
The mileage done by this coil before failure was approx 9000.
We examined this coil on the bench and confirmed the fault which appeared to be a partially short-circuited secondary winding.
That coil was then carefully unwound and the first 13 or 4 layers of the secondary were found to be shorted due to sparking through the layers.

Signed contd.

This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
