CENTRE OF GRAVITY OF 10.B.V.

Measurement were taken to determine the position of the centre of gravity of 10.B.V. The following figures were obtained

Car level, weight on front wheels - 1899 lbs.

Car level, weight on rear wheels - 2180 lbs.

Total weight of car - 4080 lbs.

Wheel base - 124".

These figures show that the centre of gravity is 57¾" in front of the rear axle.

When the rear of the car was raised through an angle of 22° 10' a weight transference of 80 lbs. was recorded. This gives the height of the Centre of Gravity above the centre line of the wheels as 5.97".

When the front of the car was raised through 21° 40' a weight transference of 79 lbs. was recorded giving the height of the centre of gravity above the wheels as 6.04".

These results give the position of the centre of gravity as 57¾" in front of, and 6.0" above the rear axle.
