R.R. 295A (100 M) (X 206. 8.1.12) G 9280. X339 re Weight of Axle. AWL/C20312. Mr Barrington. 20.3.12. In reply to your memo TBB4/L18312. More than a week ago we had already decided to put six [typed over XXXXX] axles through without aluminium liners in the axle tubes and I believe some of these are now almost ready for test. With reference to the aluminium liner in the torque tube. This is a matter Mr Bailey will have to take up, and give us some instructions as to heavier shaft as I believe it is Mr Royce's wish to increase the diameter of the shaft before removing the intermediate bearing.
